Virtual Resume Help
Virtual Resume Breakdown:
1.)Remember to state your name, major, and expected graduation date at the beginning of the video.
2.)Answer why you would be a good candidate for the David O. McKay Library.
3.)Make sure your video is no longer than 60 seconds.
If you've never made a video before, don't worry. We are not looking for professional videographers. We are simply looking for hardworking and enthusiastic students to serve our campus. A virtual resume will give you the opportunity to make an impression and stand out, so do your best!
Two Methods for Sending in Your Virtual Resume:
1. Email
Simply attach your video (along with your written resume and Mckay Library Application) to an email and send it to fall2013@posterous.com. In the subject box put your first and last name. Push send.
2. Youtube
You can also choose to send your virtual resume directly from youtube. For this option you will need to create an account. Once you have done that (or if you already have one) log in and upload your video.
Once it is uploaded you then have the option of hiding your video from anyone who does not have the link. Click 'Edit Info' --- 'Settings' --- then choose ' Unlisted' ( only people with the link can view).
'Save changes' and then look below your video for the 'Share' button. You then can send your video directly from youtube by clicking on 'Email' and typing in fall2013@posterous.com in the 'To' field. Then type your first and last name in the optional additional note and 'Send Email'.
Privacy:
Your videos will not be posted or shown to anyone other than those who are involved with the hiring process. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Circulation Desk at 496-9522 or email holdermanr@byui.edu.
